Freezer Jam

Sister Galman was so nice to hold a mini class on how to make freezer jam. She did a presentation on how to make the jam and then let us taste it and take some product home. Freezer jam is very easy to make and can be complete from start to finish in about 15 minutes. Sister Gallman is very talented, we had time left over so she showed us how to make quick and easy rolls, that she had done at a previous mini class. We appreciate her talents and time to help us all learn.

Quick and Easy Dinner Rolls-

3 1/2 c. warm milk
3 eggs
1 cube melted butter
3 T sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 T yeast
9 c. flour

Sister Gallman had some great ways to make the process go faster. For the warm milk, instead of warming on the stove or microwave and maybe scolding it, turn your sink to the hottest water and let warm up. Take powdered milk and add the hot water according to directions. Then mix well and measure out 3 1/2 cups. Keeping the ingredients warm in this recipe is important. Add all other ingredients, in no particular order and mix well. Cover and let rise, about double in size. Split dough into 3 different sections. Take each section, one at a time and roll out like a pizza dough. Spread softened butter over the dough and with a pizza cutter, slice in 8 different pieces. Roll each piece starting at the big end. Put on a buttered cookie sheet and cover and let rise again for 10 minutes. Then bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Just until brown on top. This recipe is a doubled recipe.
